Description
Farmer Palmer’s Adopt our Goats – Imagine the joy on the faces of your friend or family member when they join our Adopt our Animals community. You can feel proud that you are helping look after our animals as well.
Farmer Palmers Has Been Welcoming Generations
The Palmer family diversified our dairy farm to a popular visitor attraction over 23 years ago. The relationship we have with our animals is special. We are proud to still be a family friendly, family-run Farm Park who also farm the land in Dorset.

Who Are Our Goats?
We have various breeds of goats at Farmer Palmers. Anglo-Nubian, Saanen and the cutest Pigmy goats who are into everything. Nibbling and testing anything from clothing to pushchairs if left too close.
The billy goats can be a little “gruff” but boys or girls, they are fun, friendly and their amusing antics are a joy to watch. Smudge is a firm favourite with our visitors.

What will your adoption mean to the Goats?
To be honest, their priority is seeing how much mischief they can playfully get away with. Your adoption support will contribute towards their welfare and help us share their animal antics with you even if you are at home. We pride ourselves on excellent standards of welfare and your help will only go towards the expensive items listed below:
- Hay
- Yummy goat mix
- Fresh fruit and veg
- Fresh GRASS
- Branches and fresh leaves
- Straw & shavings for bedding
- Animal husbandry – foot care
- Our animal exhibition licence
- Vets visits if required
- Insurance
Animals are dependent upon us To Do It Right
Sandra & Phillip Palmer are so proud of our amazing animal barn team. Their care, knowledge and kindness ensuring our animals are treated like family is important to us. Come rain or shine our team will be looking after their physical and mental needs resulting in grateful goats.
We focus on quality and ensuring all of our animals live within Defra’s 5 Freedoms.
- There is Freedom from hunger and thirst: by ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigour.
- Providing Freedom from discomfort: by providing an appropriate environment including shelter and a comfortable resting area.
- Organising Freedom from pain, injury or disease: by prevention through rapid diagnosis and treatment.
- Encouraging Freedom to express normal behaviour: by providing sufficient space, proper facilities and company of the animal’s own kind.
- Freedom from fear and distress: by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering.
